TheTreeOfKnowledgeThe "Tree of the Commontology" is a "tree structure" of categories, that structures the wide field of common knowledge. Actually, the tree structure of categoris that we find it in natural languages is in deed not as strict, as it is formulated in the Commontology. But it seems important to find a strict hirarchy of categories to maintain a clear order. Till now, we are in the process of building up this tree structure. For any help and comments: yox at common-knowledge dot org The tree of the Commontology: Contributions: The first "Encyclopédie, ou dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers" (Encyclopaedia, or a Systematic Dictionary of the Sciences, Arts, and Crafts) published in France between 1751 and 1772, used this tree structure for its content. This tree was based on the categories: "memoire", "raison" and "imagination" (memory, reason and imagination). We could use this tree in the context to the "doing" section, as it points on human mental actions. <Yox> |
